During the comment period, the USAF requests comments from the public and other interested parties on the proposal for the Air Force’s Proposal for Airspace Optimization for Readiness at Mountain Home Air Force Base (AFB), Idaho.

On July 9 2021, the USAF announced the availability of the Draft EIS and beginning of the 45-day public review and comment period. On August 13, 2021, the USAF announced the extension of the 45-day public comment period for an additional 30 days. On September 24, 2021, the USAF announced an additional 30-day extension of the public comment period, which will end on October 25, 2021. All substantive comments must be received or postmarked by October 25, 2021 to be considered in the Final EIS. The USAF will accept written comments at any time during the environmental impact analysis process. Comments received or postmarked after October 25, 2021 will be considered to the extent practicable.
