In order to provide the public and stakeholders more time, the United States Air Force has further extended the comment period for the Draft EIS. The public review and comment period will now end on October 25, 2021. On August 3, 2021, based on feedback provided during the Public Hearings, hard copies of the Draft EIS were mailed to 51 libraries surrounding the Mountain Home Range Complex airspace.

Welcome to the official website for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the United States Air Force (USAF) Proposal to optimize the Mountain Home Range Complex airspace to be a more realistic and efficient training environment in order to counter and defeat near-peer threats in the air and on the ground by removing artificial training limitations.

This website allows the USAF to share information with the public through the EIS process. During the public review periods, this website will be available to accept comments from the public on the EIS documents. Your participation in this process will assist the Air Force with the identification and evaluation of your environmental concerns regarding the proposed Mountain Home Airspace Optimization EIS.

The Air Force invites you to participate in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The USAF is preparing an EIS to assess the environmental consequences that could result from the the implementation of airspace modifications to the Mountain Home Range Complex.
