On July 14, 2023, the Department of the Air Force signed a Record of Decision (ROD) for the Final Environmental Impact Statement for Airspace Optimization for Readiness for Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. A copy of the signed ROD can be found on the Documentation page.
Welcome to the official website for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) proposal to optimize the Mountain Home Range Complex airspace to be a more realistic and efficient training environment in order to counter and defeat near-peer threats in the air and on the ground by removing artificial training limitations.

This website allows the DAF to share information with the public throughout the EIS process. During the public review periods, this website will be available to accept comments from the public on the EIS documents. Your participation in this process will assist the Air Force with the identification and evaluation of your environmental concerns regarding the proposed Mountain Home Airspace Optimization EIS.

The DAF appreciates your participation in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process. The DAF has prepared a Final EIS to assess the environmental consequences that could result from the implementation of airspace modifications to the Mountain Home Range Complex.
